Smoking weed is usually done out of a cigarette referred to as a joint, J, blunt or a number of other nicknames. For many years people have been smoking marijuana however most of the time there was very little evidence of what effects long term smoking had on people. Until recent times when smoking was trialed and research was done most people thought that smoking something that was grown naturally could not be harmful to your health. The fact is that smoking weed is not good for you at any time whether long term or short term. The THC that is found in marijuana is the biggest problem of the drug however without the THC then there would be no high from smoking which would mean that most people would not bother. Some people would rather brew there weed in a tea or make butter which is then used to make other products like space cake and hash cookies.
The short term effects of smoking weed include memory loss, difficulty learning and thinking actively, loss of coordination and anxiety. These are the general side effects that are short term for smokers however there are other side effects while some people do not get all of them and other get them all. The THC affects neurons which reduce the brains ability to function correctly. Smokers of weed will also suffer from the same complications that cigarette smokers suffer from like cancers or the lungs and mouth or emphysema. For pregnant women there are other effects which carry onto the child such as reduced learning abilities from disrupted neurological pathways. Children who are exposed to the smoking can also have visual impairment, restlessness, behavioral problems and the ability to retain information. Social difficulties are also a problem with heavy smokers because the THC affects your responses to stimulus and make people very paranoid of others around them.
